Students repurposed old t-shirts to make dog toys for animals at Blue Chip Farms Animal Refuge in Dallas.

With students gathered in the Alumnae and McGowan lobby on Oct. 18, the event was organized by the community assistants of the two buildings in conjunction with Campus Life.

Members of the student body were asked to gather old t-shirts over fall break and deposit them in a box in the Alumnae and McGowan lobby in preparation for the toy-making event.

According to Senior OT major CA Rachel Mills, “This is one of our mission-geared initiative programs. We try to do one of these each semester and it is community-based.”

Other CAs at the event were sophomore Speech Language Pathology major Michaela Raub, junior Biology and Pre-med major Mackenzie Wilcox and sophomore Speech Language Pathology major Bella Davis.
