Libguides, also called Research Guides, are websites created by the librarians at the Mary Kintz Bevevino Library (and libraries around the world) that provide library resources specific to majors and programs at Misericordia.

Each guide provides links to resources such as books and databases, as well as instructional videos, citation resources, instructions on evaluating sources, and resources on finding background information.

In addition to Libguides that help with course research, we also have a few that aim to provide the campus community with information on topics that might inspire research or recreation. For those who love ice cream, we have a guide that provides locations of local ice cream spots, along with journals and eBooks on the frozen treat in our library’s collection.

Going outdoors is a great way to relieve stress and get in a workout. We have a guide to help with that. The Outdoor Recreation guides provide eBooks, journals, and websites about outdoor activities, plus information about local state parks and hiking trials.

If you get Olympic fever, we have a libguide to help you learn about the games. The guide has eBooks and journals about the Olympic and Paralympic Games, links to online resources for the upcoming games, and historical information from the International Olympic Committee.

The Libguide home page is also home to the library’s blog, Bookmarks. We use the blog to share information about library events and displays.
