Welcome to The Highlander’s web exclusive feature of “My Phone and Me”! This is a feature where students showcase their week via the pictures they take on their phones.
For the week of Oct. 15, we follow senior communications major Destiny Anderson on her adventures during Fall Break.
Monday was spent in class all day, with an uneventful evening spent with our dorm plants and a good rainy day music playlist.
Tuesday was an incredibly busy day for our entire dorm, so the only photo that survived is a bleary-eyed photo from 11pm in my dorm with both my roommates, only one (Becca) pictured. Sam was here and cooking like the angel she is.
Again, we were in class all day until 8pm, which was unfortunate, considering everyone else had already left for fall break. We drove back to Becca’s house in New Jersey that night to go to an open mic night. The rest of the night was spent with her dogs (pictured: Sadie the black lab).
We slept in Thursday and chilled around the house, before going out that evening to TJ Maxx and a little diner at 10pm. The pancakes were amazing.

We went back out around town for most of Friday, then went to Becca’s performance at a local venue. She performed with her friend James, with their temporary band name aptly being “James & Friends”. Even bias aside, they absolutely stole the show in the five-band lineup.
Saturday, we took a short-ish road trip to Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey. We also went to Princeton, which felt like a weird bubble secluded from the rest of the real world. We also had some killer hoagies.
Sunday was spent driving back to campus and hanging with my roommates. We spun my favorite new album of the year, “Everything Is Forgotten” by Methyl Ethel. I found it at Princeton Record Exchange, which I could not believe, as it is sold out everywhere online and this colored version is super rare. This music nerd had a great fall break.
