What are your expectations/goals for this season?
My goals are for us to repeat a Mac Championship, as well as a long run in the National Tournament.
How did you approach this season differently?
I knew that we had lost some very key players from last year, so it was crucial that all of our returning players came back with an attitude of confidence in order to step up and fill those important roles.
How much have you seen yourself develop both mentally and physically in the offseason?
More confidence in my abilities.
Do you see the same with the overall team?
Yes, players have returned looking more fit, more technical, and a lot more committed to their role on the team.
Do you run into any complications when balancing your schoolwork with the soccer schedule?
No, keeping busy gives me a set schedule that I know I cannot stray away from. That way, I always know my available time and when I need to get my schoolwork done.
Do you feel pressure to repeat the success your team had last season?
I don’t think that it’s pressure, but more of motivation. Advancing to the final four last year was an incredible experience, and I would love to be able to have that experience again.
If all goes well, how far do you see your team going this season?
I see us with a strong potential to make it to the final four once again.
Projected to be first in the Freedom Conference, do you like the preseason hype?
Yes,i t gives us something to play for and a reputation to uphold.
What is the number one thing you want to walk away with at season’s end?
Knowing that every single one of us put in the absolute best effort we could.
