What major are you in?
My major is Physical Therapy.
When did you first start playing tennis?
I first started playing tennis last semester in the fall. Before that, I played here and there in the summer just messing around with my buddies.
What were some of your goals heading into this season?
My main goal was too compete in every match I played in. I knew I would be the underdog in most of my matches so I just fought hard and played my game. Another goal was too get better each and every day and I believe I have done that.
What’s the most difficult thing about the game of tennis?
The most difficult thing about tennis is keeping your head. You are going to make many mistakes and you have to quickly put them behind you.
What are you most proud of accomplishing?
I am very proud of actually becoming a tennis player. I never thought I would ever be playing tennis for a team and I have surprised myself at how much better I have become at the game.
What advice would you give to someone who has either never played the game or is looking to get better?
I would tell them it’s a tough sport to get down and you need a lot of practice to get better. If you work hard every day and learn the fundamentals, it is a fun sport to play and compete in.
Outside of tennis, what other sports do you enjoy?
Outside of tennis, I love to play a ton of other sports but my main three are basketball, baseball, and golf.
What are your plans after your done at Misericordia?
My plans are to become a Physical Therapist and to make an impact on people’s lives. That’s my main focus in school right now and besides that, it is still a mystery.
