What is your major?
Nursing major.
Has lacrosse always been your primary sport or have you played others growing up? If so what were they?
I played basketball and soccer throughout high school, but I tried out everything else when I was younger including softball, track and field hockey.
What did you do to prepare yourself for this season individually?
To prepare myself for this season individually, I looked back on previous seasons and thought about what I wanted to do differently to get better this season. I worked a lot on improving my fitness and on my shot.
What are some foods you eat to keep a healthy nutrition?
I eat a lot of eggs and vegetables and drink a lot of water throughout the day to stay hydrated for practice and games.
How do you balance lacrosse and school?
I prioritize all of my work and do my best to stay very organized. I know when my busiest days are and when my lighter days are so I know when I can get my work done. It really helps having practice consistently from 4-6 every day so I can get my work done around it.
What do you like to in your spare time when you’re not doing lacrosse related activities?
When I’m doing lacrosse or schoolwork, I like to draw as much as possible, I’ve always been really creative. I also like to work out and run in my spare time. All three of these things are big stress relievers for me.
How often do you workout during the season?
Outside of practice before we began games, we worked out 3 times a week. Now that we have been in the full swing of our games, we have focused on having really intense and hard practices, so that serves as a good workout for us.
How often do you workout when you’re not in season?
Outside of season, I like to work out at least 5 times a week. I run and lift, and it helps that coach gives us a workout program to stay on track. The harder I work out in the off-season, the easier it will be for me to accomplish what I want to do.
What were some goals you had going into this season?
Going into this season, I really wanted to be a team leader and help out my team as much as possible. Individually, my biggest goal is to be chosen for the All Conference team, and I will continue to work hard until I reach that goal.
