What are some of your own personal goals for this season?
Some of my personal goals are for us as a team to repeat again as MAC Champions and win a Regional Tournament. I just want to try to improve in any of the areas I lacked in last year and to just improve ourselves as a team from last year.
Recognized as a pre-season All American, do you add more personal pressure to live up to the title?
No I try not to let it bother me it is a great honor but this is a whole new year. I really just try to play my game and do what I have been doing for the past three years, just trying to get better and help out my team anyway I can and win ball games.
What has been your favorite memory while being a member of the Misericordia baseball team?
There have been a lot of great memories that I have had throughout the years here not only on but off the field as well. If I had to pick one it would be winning the MAC Conference Tournament in 2011 when no one thought we would. Being an underdog that year and coming out on top was a great experience and memory.
Being two time defending MAC champions, how much is the team driven to defend it for a three peat?
It just fuels us even more knowing that teams are coming to play us wanting to knock us off from the top. We have to just make sure we keep working hard and play the game that we play.
What personal accomplishment(s) are you most proud of?
The personal accomplishment I am most proud of would be being named an All-American, it was a great honor. I owe a lot of it to my teammates and coaches all pushing me to get better since I came here as a freshman.
What is your favorite aspect to the game of baseball?
My favorite part is how the game changes from day to day. Anyone can beat anyone on a given day and you cannot forget that. You can have a bad game one day but the next day you can bounce back and be great again. You just have to be willing to take the ups with the downs and not get discouraged.
After this season, what are your plans for post graduation?
Right now I am a Sport Management Major and will be graduating in December. When I graduate I have hopes of working for a professional team in their organization where ever it may be.
