As we move into the second half of the Fall semester, the library would like to remind the campus community about two valuable resources for your assignments:
Chat-A-Way
Our chat service has been upgraded this semester to provide 24/7 support. Librarians are available around the clock to assist you, whether you’re in McHale, the Townhouses, or off-campus. You can access the chat by visiting the library’s website at https://www.misericordia.edu/library, and clicking the “Click Here to Chat” box.
The chat librarians will ask a few questions to help them find an answer to your inquiry. They can also connect you with subject-specific librarians if you require more specialized assistance.
Cite Your Work with RefWorks
Creating a works cited or reference page can be a daunting task, but the library offers a tool to simplify this important part of your research papers.
RefWorks is a citation management tool that allows you to save your research materials in one place and organize them into your works cited or reference page.
Getting started is easy. First, Set up an account by visiting https://refworks.proquest.com/login/.
When you’re using the library’s databases, look for the “Cite” button while viewing articles. Click the “Cite” button and select “Export to RefWorks.” The article’s information will then be sent directly to your RefWorks account.
You can create folders for each class or assignment to keep your materials organized. Once your materials are collected, simply click “Create Bibliography,” select your desired citation style, and your works cited page will be generated quickly. Please remember to always review the generated bibliography for any spelling or spacing errors.
