Weekly Open Library Instruction Launched
This semester, the library launched Research Refresh. This weekly session is a place for students to pop in and ask for assistance on a range of topics, such as which database or resources would work best for an assignment, assistance with locating print books or eBooks, and/or questions about RefWorks.
The session takes place each week on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the library’s 2nd-floor computer lab. Can’t make it in person? You can also chat with us online through the library’s website.
Check Out Our Book Exhibits
The library currently has three book exhibits on display throughout the building.
On the first floor, we have two exhibits focused on February celebrations:
- One exhibit highlights Black authors and stories to celebrate Black History Month.
- The second exhibit is all about Valentine’s Day. In addition to books about love and romance, the exhibit offers library patrons a place to make a Valentine for their sweetheart and enter a free raffle to win a pickleball set.
The third exhibit is for the birds! Head up to the second floor to view books related to the hobby of birdwatching. This exhibit coincides with the annual Great Backyard Bird Count, which takes place from Feb. 14 to 17.
