We Listened, Changes Coming to the Study Rooms
Back in the fall, the Bevevino Library put out a survey asking students for their opinions and ideas. Many shared their appreciation for our 14 study rooms, and a few offered thoughtful suggestions for improving them in the survey.
While soundproofing the rooms would be challenging, we are making a change to the reservation system. Starting March 9, you will now be able to reserve a study room for up to four hours.
On occasion, a student may be in the study room that you have reserved. If you feel uncomfortable asking the student to leave the room, approach a member of the library staff. We will ask them to relocate and assist in helping them find available study space elsewhere in the library.
Also, we have placed QR code in each of the study rooms that will direct you to the study room reservation system and the library’s collection of LibGuides to support your research.
Graphic Novels Celebrated
During March, libraries, bookstores and comic shops celebrate the works of artist/writer Will Eisner. Eisner was a pioneer in the early days of comic books and later went on to create one of the first modern graphic novels in 1978 with “A Contract with God.”
To join in the annual celebration, the library has put together a display of our graphic novels on the second floor and online collection through Libby to encourage everyone to dream big and read a graphic novel this month.
