Members of the Delta Kappa Gamma society are offering female education majors with a 3.0 GPA the chance to help fund their education.

   The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded on behalf of the local chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, a professional women educators’ society that promotes professional and personal growth of its members and excellence in education.

   “This scholarship is our chapter’s contribution to recruiting excellent future teachers in our area,” said TAU Delata Kappa Gamma member Florence McCabe.

   “Our committee chooses the winner by examining academic performance, work experience, academic honors/awards, and community service involvement,” said McCabe.

   Students can pick up applications either at the education department office on campus or contact Florence McCabe at (570) 829-1823.
